A special reunion

Friday, June 08, 2018

To celebrate the life of 80-year- young Fr Gordon Daniells, friends, colleagues and students have planned a reunion at St Xavier’s College on June 9.  The evergreen mentor, philosopher and guide who is an accomplished musician, has won the hearts of those he has interacted with over the years.

While Fr Gordon taught communications, advertising, management and leadership training  to both undergrads at Xaviers and post-graduate students at Xavier Institute of Management (XLRI) he is better known for regaling his students with his musical prowess and nurturing them to achieve their potential.  His most recent posting was at Xavier’s Institute of Communications as Assistant Director, Dean and Student Adviser.

His workshops at the Jesuit-run institution in Khandala were an eagerly-awaited event in the academic year. Among those congregating in the fellowship-cum-felicitation will be some of his ex-students from the armed forces, including Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan and Mrs Daphne Chauhan.
