Gargi Bansod checks out the recently re-launched Crepe Station at Andheri to see if they have anything new to offer
Crepe Station at Juhu and Bandra is always buzzing because their vibe and prices are easy. And now, Andheri gets a re-launched Crepe Station Resto Bar at 7 Bungalows with a few new, interesting additions to the menu.
They offer a variety of food, juices and various cocktails (ranging from `175 to `260) and liquor. We tried one of their ‘killer cocktails’ — Rocket Fuel (`275) which was a perfectly blended mix of vodka, gin, white rum, tequila kiwi and melon with lime. Ah… the buzz!
They have a good breakfast spread which includes Indian, continental and healthy breakfasts. A lot of people have said that their Hangover Remedy (`170) works wonders after a Saturday night.
While checking out the menu, we came across a newcomer — Savoury Waffles (`190). It looked interesting but unfortunately they said it was unavailable. We settled for the Chicken in Olive Bell Pepper Sauce (`250) and the Lasagna Verdure (`210). The chicken was well-cooked and the sauce had a nice flavour to it. It was served with brown rice and parsley potatoes and is enough to fill your tummy. The lasagna was topped with a heavy layer of cheese and the tomato and oregano sauce in it was delicious.
The dishes that we were really looking forward to were the crepes and waffles, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and our choice of toppings. They have some very tempting toppings such as strawberry fields, banana split, nutella and a whole lot of chocolate flavours. But, to our bad luck, the waffle machine was broken and they did not have crepes either! We were fairly disappointed as the only other options were a bowl of fruit salad or ice cream.
Albeit a few setbacks, the music is good, the drinks and food are easy on the pocket and so it makes for a perfect place to go out with your friends or colleagues at the end of the day.
