New Offerings from Epigamia

We’ve been relishing the delightful flavours of yogurt that Epigamia has been churning out, and we couldn’t be more excited to try the Pink Guava (Rs 40) variant. The sweet taste of juicy pink peru, the sweetest of all guavas, and the smooth, creamy texture of Greek yogurt are just what you need to recharge this winter season. We loved the creamy, flavourful goodness that this healthy treat brings and we’re sure you’ll like it as well. Another addition to the Epigamia line is the Epigamia Artisanal Curd (Rs 70). Chef Ganesh Krishnamoorthy, co-founder, Epigamia says, “Simply put, Epigamia Artisanal curd is designed to improve gut health, while retaining its traditional function, taste and texture. We’ve used pure cow’s milk, added two types of probiotics and removed the lactose. Combined, these three elements ease digestion, boost immunity and give people with gastro-sensitivities, such as lactose intolerance and IBS, the opportunity to retain dairy in their diet and benefit from its calcium.” Enough said?

A Dose Of Health From Flax

Since it’s the beginning of the New Year, many of us pledge to eat healthy, and what better than a bowl of salad? We sampled the offerings from Flax, which are healthy and tasty. With a number of hip restaurants serving finger food, opening up in Lower Parel, Flax brings a sense of healthy eating amongst Mumbaikars. With a vast menu to choose from, we were excited to order some salad and superbowls for a healthy lunch. In completely sealed black boxes, the colour of salad stood out well. We tried the vegetarian Energy Booster Salad (Rs 210), Paneer Tikka Salad (Rs 265) and Mexican Bowl (Rs 295). We loved the paneer tikka salad as the cottage cheese had a spicy flavour, which was well balanced with the arugula, cucumber, radish and the olive oil dressing. We also tried the non-vegetarian Power Booster Salad (Rs 240), Greek Bowl (Rs 345) and Mediterranean Chicken Bowl (Rs 345). We loved the Greek Bowl as it had crisp pita chips and the creamy chicken worked well with the salty baba ghanoush tied together with the wonderful lemon olive oil dressing. The salads were filling and we’re definitely ordering again!
