A boon for good health with acupuncture

Beramji’s Hospital was started in the year 1977 by Dr.R.F.Beramji and his wife Dr. (Mrs.). Y.R.Beramji in the year 1976 as a small Allopathic dispensary. However, due to their hard work and honesty this small clinic gradually moved on to be a successful hospital with Departments of Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics and so on.

Dr.R.F.Beramji always considers himself as a Healer with a mission to help the patients heal with any MODE OF THERAPY. During his practice he chanced upon to learn Acupuncture out of curiosity and he was thrilled to find that he was producing fantastic results while playing around with tiny Acupuncture needles. He realized these needles were no ordinary things but they were having extraordinary powers to heal. Like a rough diamond needs to be polished well to be a Kohinoor-Dr. Beramji felt it is his duty to help acupuncture find its rightful place in the world of medical therapy. Suddenly in the year 2000 in one day he closed down his very successful Allopathy practice of surgery and jumped into an ocean of uncertainty-to explore the depths of Acupuncture.

For the next 15 years he and his wife practiced only Acupuncture and started treating only Orthopedic cases like Spondylosis, Slip Disc, Osteoarthritis Knees, and Frozen Shoulders without any drugs/surgery. Soon they became very famous and patients started coming to them from all over India and abroad including from U.S.A, U.K, Australia, Middle East, Africa, Hong Kong, and so on. Practically  the who's who of Mumbai including actors, politicians, judges, sportsmen, journalists, industrialists started approaching him with full confidence.

With the grace of God The Almighty, Dr. Beramji’s son suddenly decided to learn Acupuncture and join his father/mother. Beramjis wanted their son- Shahzad to be the best acupuncturist & bring glory to the country & hence he was sent to U.S.A to undergo a 4 years intensive training in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. Shahzad passed with flying colors & although he is a registered Acupuncturist in USA he left his lucrative career to come & serve his country along with his parents.

Beramji’s have now started one of the largest Acupuncture Hospital for Orthopedic disorders in the country with 34 indoor patients, OPD for out patients and Day Care centre at Beramji’s  Hospital, Girgaum and they have opened another Acupuncture O.P.D Centre at Santacruz-W to help patients from the suburbs. He is assisted by a strong force of doctors and other medical staff. Beramji’s Hospital has a Specialized Acupuncture Center with departments of Physiotherapy, Dietician, Kerala Ayurvedic Massages and Foot Care Clinic.

Beramji’s dream came true when he created history & succeeded in getting Acupuncture Therapy recognized by the Maharashtra Government on 10th December 2015. Maharashtra is the second state after West Bengal to have recognized Acupuncture in India. He will now be able to start special Acupuncture colleges and training centers all over Maharashtra.

He humbly claims that as a Parsi he has contributed to the growth of a Medical Therapy in India.
