A show held by four artists at the Jehangir Art Gallery ended yesterday. Bengal Traye presented the show in which the artists – Chanchal Khan, Mrinmoy Mondal, Sukanta Bakshi and Soumya Chakraborty – displayed high-calibre paintings. While Sukanta bakshi and Chanchal Khan are artists who are older with more experience, Mrinmooy Mondal and Soumya Chakraborty are younger artists. They appear to have joined and formed a group – Bengal Trayee. This is the tenth exhibition of the group.
At the exhibition were some abstract landscapes, some impressionist works, some realistic bright paintings. The artists appeared to have considerable control and ability. All of them used bright colours – reds, greens and browns.
