K.S. Ramesh uses angular forms to create figurative images. It is clear he works in freedom – yet there is a certain precision and a limit beyond which he will not go.
The human form is completely changed. Every bit of the anatomy is there but they are all transformed into angular forms. His work can perhaps be described as sophisticated folk art. The art language he uses is evolved. He likes to break away from the groove and create altogether different forms. What he has done is something new.
And the entire composition is bright as bright can be. There are well thought out contrasts. There is a certain originality in his creations.
About his art, Ramesh says: “Life has become mechanical. My intention behind my works speaks of the problems that man faces. A colony of people is depicted to show sharing, caring, affection, love, bondage with one another. I am trying to reach others with vibrant colours and my own creative style in the series “Get together”.
Ramesh is an Art teacher as well. He lives and works in Vishakapatnam, Andhra. Contact: +91 9441755613.
