A technology geek turned entrepreneur, Abhishek Rungta, Founder & CEO of Indus Net Technologies is Digital Strategy Consultant, Software Architect, Marketing Geek, Angel Investor and a Visionary. After doing his Bachelors in Commerce (Accountancy) from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, he went on to do his MS in Multimedia Technology from the University Of Bath, UK in 1999-2000.

Founded in 1997, Indus Net Technologies a fully bootstrapped venture which started with one person and has grown into a family of 550+ full time professionals who work from Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Warwick, Boise and Singapore to support 200+ active clients across five continents. For the last fifteen years, Rungta and his team have been working diligently to deliver 10,000+ projects successfully in process revolutionized small business outsourcing. Having worked with a varied mix of industries (BFSI, Hospitality & Travel, Publishing and the Govt. of India) Indus Net Technologies has proven its expertise in the field.

In conversation with Dominic Rebello, Rungta reveals his active role in the organisation, which is of providing the strategic road map and also executing the same along with the management team and how it has helped his company grow exponentially

What is your vision for the company?
The vision of our company is to create a digitally empowered world and to be a globally leading IT service company delivering technological innovations through a partnership approach.

How big is the potential for a business like yours; any major customers that you now cater to?
Most companies are increasingly using digital technologies as a disruptive growth accelerator. At Indus Net Technologies we provide full stack digital services in both the technology and marketing domain. We help corporations and governments across the globe embrace the “Nexus of Forces” Cloud/Web based custom applications development, Mobility and Digital marketing services to make their business future ready. Indus Net Technologies takes pride in working for many SMBs, Enterprises including many Fortune 500s. Our prestigious client list includes Axis Bank, Cipla, Bridgestone, Mattel, SBI General, Ministry of HRD, Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India, LG, Mastercard, Unilever among many others.

What are the latest industry trends?
Sizeable digital innovations across IoT, Wearable devices, Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality and Omni-Channel marketing are driving the industry to a new level of user experience and engagement.

Our customer audience comprises of IT, Marketing and other business departments of Enterprises and SMBs requiring Marketing-Tech services for digital transformation and innovation.

Where do you see yourself five years down the road?
Indus Net Technologies is looking forward to expand its base through a  partner network in different countries. We also plan to move up the value chain and deliver pay-for-performance contracts, which will be key growth drivers for next several years. We also plan to achieve public listing for the company in the coming future.
