Gangster-turned-politician Ashwin Naik was granted bail on Friday in all three alleged cases, charged by the Mumbai Crime Branch.
Ashwin Naik’s lawyer Bharat Mane said, “All the three cases were of civic matter and the crime branch had interrogated Naik at various levels. The input of the bank detail was provided by my client. It seems the police was troubling him unnecessarily.
Earlier, the police alleged that Disolkar, a long-time ally of Naik, had demanded an extortion amount of Rs. 3 crore at the behest of the gangster from a developer, who in turn lodged a complaint at Dadar police station on last Wednesday.
