CIDCO chairman passes away

CIDCO Chairman and former state minister Nakul Patil breathed his last following a heart-attack on Wednesday, June 29 at around 11:45 pm at his Dombivli residence.

He was cremated on Thursday afternoon at theDombivli (E) crematoriumin the presence of high-profile personalities like State Home Minister R.R. Patil, Unconventional Energy and Environment Minister of Thane district Ganesh Naik,Member of Parliament Sanjeev Naik, Navi Mumbai Mayor Sagar Naik and Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik among others.

During his reign as CIDCO chairman, he undertook many development works, most prominently the approval of the Navi Mumbai International Airport and giving 12.5 per cent land to PAPs.
