Eight injured after MSRTC bus hits school bus

Eight students of a Titwala based school escaped death when the driver applied the emergency breaks in time on Wednesday morning when a MSRTC bus dashed into their school bus.

The incident took place in the Dahagaon area in Titwala.

The Madhavrao Rokade Primary School bus haad 40 students headed towards school. The MSRTC bus from Kalyan Depot had left around 7.40 am towards Titwala. 8 students suffered injuries.

The injured students have been identified as Pooja Rohan, 13, Kavita 15, Mayur Kalu, Vijay Rothe, Pranali Thackeray, Karan Rohale, Ashwini Rohan, Aditya Badhane. They all have been taken to Goveli Primary Health Centre in Goveli where they all being treated in hospital.

The Titwala police said they have booked a case against the MSRTC bus driver.
