The buzz created by Akshay Kumar's 'Padman' seems to have taken the shape of a hygiene revolution. Inspired by the film, Yuva Sena leader Purvesh Sarnaik, like scores of other activists across the country, has also aided the movement to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene by distributing free sanitary pads to women in Yeoor, a tribal-dominated village in Thane. The distribution program was undertaken under the aegis of the Vihang Chairitable Trust on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
