A large crowd of horrified onlookers gathered at the Juhu beach early Wednesday morning after police reached the spot where the body of a woman was found wrapped in a nylon bag.

According to Santacruz Police sources, they got a call around 10.30 am informing them of a woman's body lying at the Juhu beach wrapped in the bag. As per preliminary investigations, police said the unidentified woman may be around 23 years old, had an injury mark on her face and a blood-stained nose.

Police rushed her to the Cooper Hospital but she was declared dead on arrival. The young woman who sports a tattoo, was wearing a night suit when her body was found. Police said it seems like someone murdered her and dumped her body near the beach.

After going through the missing complaints registered, Police found that no one has registered any missing complaint about a missing woman in the past 24 hours. “But we are going to check at police stations across the city if any missing complaints have been filed,” said an officer.

“On the basis of primary information, we have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) while further investigations are being carried on. It will be made into a murder case after the post morterm report comes out,” police added.
