Women Graduates Union organized their annual fund raiser at Mumbai's iconic Radio Club at Apollo Bunder. It was a well attended event. Delegates from Indian Federation of University Women's Association (IFUWA) from eight cities took part in the Central Committee Meeting. The programme was a great success! The evening started with the cutting of  'Centenary Cake' and lots of beautiful congratulatory messages were received from friends and well wishers. The President of IFUWA, Kumararani Dr Meena Muthiah, who was the Chief Guest was honoured with a shawl and flowers.

Women Graduates Union (WGU) affiliated to the Graduate Women International & Indian Federation of University Women’s Associations has embarked on a new journey of 101 years of yeoman service to the cause of women empowerment through education; with an impressive record of need based successful projects. The Institution runs the working women’s Hostel which provides home and security to more than 150 working women who come from different parts of the country. Computer Centre holds classes as computer literacy has become a necessity. The Balwadi, a play school for toddlers and the Study Centre are run for the benefit of under privileged children. Every Year around 105 need cum-merit based scholarships are distributed to students for research, under-graduate, graduate or professional courses. The Consumer & Civic Affairs Cell creates awareness about the consumer’s rights and how to get redressal for one’s grievances. One to one and group counseling is offered for personal or vocational requirements by WGU’s trained Counselor, Yoga Classes and a Silver Corner for senior citizens where programmes and seminars are organized regularly on various burning topics of current issues.
