Divya Palat directs music video

Wednesday, September 12, 2018

Divya Palat and husband Aditya Hitkari have produced and directed singing sensation Darshan Raval’s latest music video ‘Do Din’. Amazingly, the music video got over 5 million hits on YouTube within a span of 24 hours! Director Divya tells us how it all came about: “We were approached (by Sony Music) for Darshan’s newest single and that’s when we first researched him and listened to the song. Aditya and I love pitching our thoughts to each other and then developing one idea. It was super odd that we both new that this had to be set in a theatre. We then brainstormed and I created a story about a new crush and how suddenly you seem to see them everywhere! Aditya and I are very similar so I argued what if he did see her everywhere but at the end of the song fantasy becomes real and she is actually there – I mean she could reasonably have the same likes as him. And that’s where we started.” The song features Darshan himself as the young man with the big crush on this (what appears to be) gorgeous model and it has youthful dancers who have been brought together and choreographed by the one and only Shiamak Davar’s dance company. We would definitely recommend it for the young at heart!
