We missed Kerala-based artist Sivadas Vasu

Saturday, August 04, 2012

We missed Kerala-based artist Sivadas Vasu at Growel’s 101 in Kandivli yesterday, but there is no way you can miss his art, a mind boggling vision of what 3D pavement art can accomplish. Also known as anamorphic art and first practiced by American Kurt Wenner in the 1980’s, you need to stand in a specific spot to get the full effect of multiple layers and the ground opening up under one’s feet to release nightmare creatures within! Imagine the whole of the Kala Ghoda precinct given over to such art work!
