Barbie in A Mermaid Tale 2 – Animation
Rs. 399/-

The movie is a sequel to the 2010 Barbie film ‘Barbie in a Mermaid Tale. The film also marks the return of the lovely voice of Kelly Sheridan as the voice of Barbie.

Merliah Summers (Barbie) is a surfing champion who's half human and half mermaid. She's the crown princess of Oceana. After winning a competition she heads to Australia for a surfing competition with her human and sea friends backing her. Merliah’s only rival is Kylie Morgan, an Australian surfer who wins the practice tournaments. But Merliah’s surfing gets the better of Kylie, grabbing media attention. Kylie is jealous that Merliah is basking in the limelight and tries to outwink her. An angelfish (Alistair) coaxes Kylie to steal Merliah's magical necklace. Kylie wears the necklace and becomes a mermaid, but is tricked into following Alistair into the whirlpool of the evil mermaid Eris. Meanwhile Merliah and her friends search for Merliah’s missing necklace, when Snout, a sea lion informs Merliah of Kylie being captured by Eris.

Snout leads Merliah and her friends to Kylie; they rescue her and head off to confront Eris. But Eris is far off and on her way to sit in the throne of Aqualia and get the power from her sister Queen Calissa, Merliah's mother. A fight ensues and Queen Calissa is sent to the bottom of the ocean by Eris where her tail is frozen. Merliah races to save her mother’s kingdom from the hands of Eris before the ‘Change of the Tides’ ritual takes place. She also has to finish the big surfing competition which is happening that same afternoon. Will Eris rule over Oceana, and will Merliah be able to compete in the surfing competition?

Watch the exciting sea-quel for the answers. The movie also imparts a message that bullying doesn't get you anywhere, but that friendships transcend what any one person can accomplish alone.
