Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – 3 Disc Collector’s Edition
Rs 599/-
Directed by:
Chris Columbus
Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, John Cleese, Robbie Coltrane

As the first Harry Potter film of the celebrated series, which is also an adaptation of J. K. Rowling's enchanting, debut novel of the same name, this is a must for ardent fans and newcomers to the global fantasy phenomenon.

As a three-set DVD pack, you get the movie on Disc 1, never before seen footage of details of the search to cast Harry Potter and his friends, including Daniel’s, Rupert’s and Emma’s screen test. Much more is the fun the stars and the filmmakers have on set for the historic first day of shooting, meet Daniel’s family, his friends and also be a part of the limelight on the day of the first Harry Potter film premiere. Besides this, you also have a ringside view of Chris Columbus’s critical, step by step decisions in realising Harry’s world on screen. Disc 2 also has an adult Harry Potter reminiscing the decade’s movies he’s done with Rupert, Emma in new and vintage interviews never seen before, plus hosts of deleted scenes of the first movie and unseen footage. It’s your best chance to view the series’ well-loved characters and the goings-on at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in their own words.

Lastly, Disc 3 is a self-guided tour of Hogwarts, with theatrical trailers. If you play the DVD on a CD Rom drive, try collecting wizard trading cards, be sorted by the Sorting Hat, download screensavers and receive owl emails, link to the web and lots more.

As for the film, the plot sees a midget sized Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) invited to Hogwarts, where he learns that an evil presence is at work trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone, a small stone that will give its owner immortality. With the help of his two friends, Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint), Harry tries to confront the evil wizard Voldemort (Ian Hart) and find the stone.
