Pak violating LoC

Tuesday, February 06, 2018

It looks like Pakistan is up to something serious. It is violating the LoC like one gone mad. The provocations at the border are increasing. Within five hours yesterday, it attacked the LoC five times. Actually the provocations have been steadily increasing since the last few weeks. It is choosing and picking up the victims, one officer and three jawans. It knows now Indian troops will cross the border and hit back. Why is Pakistan doing this? Is it a war it is waging?

Pakistan appears to be attacking India on more than one front. Chief Minister Mehbooba has okayed fighting by stone-pelters. There may be as many as 100 men who are “armed with stones” who can fight quite effectively with the Indian army.

Maybe the next move of Pakistan is to move more men from Pakistan into India from several points along the LoC. They can be joined by Chinese soldiers and this combined force can get into India. This looks like a far-fetched happening but this is what is going to happen if and when war breaks out between India and Pakistan.

It was thought that LoC will not be violated but it has been violated many times. Killings have taken place as in a war and there is a clear beginning that what Pakistan wants is to play its version of a war game and to make a begining only when the Chinese enter.
