Tough rule in Kashmir

Tuesday, July 10, 2018

THEY dared take action against only one Hurriyat party member. They arrested him and kept him in comfort in jail. Are they scared in provoking these men who want to be in charge of Kashmir. The home ministry of India has always been soft on Hurriyats. Does the Centre think they will come over and agree to India's rule in Kashmir? Does the Centre think Hurriyat's agitation is soft? The Hurriyat group is carrying on a separate, hard agitation for separate rule.

They want Kashmir rule to be handed over to them. They want to carry on their struggle without any violence. Perhaps it is this approach that impresses our home minister. For reasons best known to themselves, the Centre has treated the Hurriyat in a special manner. They were almost involved in some of Centre's plan. The Hurriyats had no problem from the government of late, however, the government is changing their approach towards them. The Centre should change completely towards them and bestrong again. Their effort is to take over rule of Kashmir. Just now, they are in touch with Pakistan and we do not know what sort of connection they have with it. It is better all the Hurriyats are put in jail.

The army should be given total freedom. And they should be able to deal with stone pelters in any way they want. No restraint should be put on them. Already, the army is being made free. The army should decide how to deal with all sorts of hostile elements.
