I am completing my under-graduation this year in humanities and I am thinking of pursuing a post graduate course. The only thing is that all through my schooling I have been really shy and did not get a chance make a lot of friends during those years. I know next year will be all about hard work but I also want it to be the beginning of a new ‘social me’. Can you advise me so that I can balance both my studies and my social life?
What you make of the year is in your hands. Whatever you do, make sure you don’t try to be someone else. Be yourself and find friends with common interests. The key is to be yourself and do what you like. If you intend to work hard and have a good time, you will be able to do just that. Spend more time socialising and taking part in activities you enjoy while making sure you work equally hard as well. As you spend time taking part in activities you like, you will make friends and have fun. Just stay focussed on your studies as well.
