Gayatri, the all knowing stree with her pearls of wisdom will not only give you clarity but also put your life back on track. So go ahead and ask her what you want to

Dear Gayatri,
This year a German girl came to study as part of an exchange program in my college and after some months we dated. However, she is going back Germany soon and I’m considering applying for a course in her college in order to continue our relationship. I am also afraid that my parents won’t agree. What should I do?
How old are you? How serious is your relationship? Taking such a drastic step at such a young age isn’t the best idea. What if you break up? There is no harm in applying abroad for the experience of studying in a foreign country, but if you are just making the move for love, bad idea. Distance will actually be a good indicator of how strong your relationship actually is, so let it be a test of it.

Dear Gayatri,
Every summer it is the same situation. I have been working all year long and instead of having some time in the city to hang out with friends, my family is planning a holiday at our farm house. I know it seems kind of selfish but I would like to spend only two weeks with them and then head back to Mumbai to spend some time with my friends. How do I tell my parents without hurting their feelings?
Just talk to them and tell them how you feel! Everybody likes spending time with their friends and two weeks with your parents is good enough time. Your parents will definitely understand, just tell them that your friends are important too and you’d like to spend some time with them.
