ICICI Foundation has announced applications for the new batch of ICICI Fellows 2012. ICICI Fellows is a pioneering youth leadership programme that cultivates socially responsible leaders for India.
Over the next 50 years, talented young leaders will be needed who have an understanding of India’s broader realities and the necessary skills to discover and implement innovative ideas. The ICICI Fellows programme aims to fulfil this essential requirement.
ICICI Fellows 2012 applications are open till 29th February 2012. Assessment includes aptitude test, group discussion and personal interview. Assessment to be conducted across the country from March to May. Results to be declared on June 1, 2012. Sessions start August 1, 2012. All graduates up to 28 years can apply.

Lecture on women in Gujarat
BL Amlani College of Commerce & Economics, Ma Manekben Nathwani College of Arts, Juhu, Vile Parle has arranged a guest lecture today at 11:30am, focusing on the topic ‘Indian Women depicted in Gujarat’. The guest lecture will see Dr.Pragnya Shukla (Ph.D. Guide – Literature) outlining the socio-cultural identity of women in Gujarat, the various roles played by them and responsibilities on them.
The guest lecture is an initiative taken by the college principal Dr. (Mrs) Manjula Desai who stated that the youth of today need to understand the pivotal role of women. The topic will also showcase various novels and books written about women in Gujarat.

Coffee Day and FLAME scholarships
Coffee Day and FLAME (Foundation for Liberal and Management Education) have introduced the ‘Scholar Hunt’ Program, a unique scholarship opportunity of Rs. 5 crore for students seeking under graduate and post graduate programs in several fields. The scholarship aims to help students in their higher education that will help them accomplish their professional and leadership goals in life. Announcing the program in Delhi was the founder president of FLAME and Coffee Day management, who also reached out to the city’s students and scholars looking for furthering their education. Notably, FLAME has successfully enabled 350 students from across India pursue their higher education plans.
Scholar Hunt Program is a non-profit initiative by Coffee Day and FLAME Institute to support young students attains higher education. Coffee Day’s association with FLAME into education is driven by the need to make quality education available to meritorious students.
