As the end of February arrives, the Annual-Techno-Cultural Festival ‘PURPLE’ of M.H Saboo Siddik College of Engineering is being reincarnated as ‘AMBROSIA’. The festival starts on February 27 and will continue for three days. The theme for this year’s festival is ‘GREEK MYTHOLOGY’. The mood of the college is totally Greek. Right from the decorations to the names of the events!
Established in 1985, Anjuman-I-Islam’s M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, is a well known Engineering College in Mumbai. Popularly known as Saboo, this is the only college in South Mumbai which offers Automobile Engineering.
The website, ‘www.ambrofest.com’, made by the students of the college is receiving a good response, and is getting a record number of hits. The students are leaving no stone unturned to publicize the festival.
The main attractions are the Rock Show, Abyss, the adaptation of the famous television shows ‘Minute To Win It’ and ‘The Amazing Race’, ‘Balls of Fury’, ‘Game Lords’ (LAN Gaming), ‘Robotics’ and much more!
Dance and Dramatics are the events which draw huge number of participants, not only from the host college but others as well. The numbers of participants are expected to reach a new high.
This is the time when all the branches of the college come together and work. It is a collective effort put by the various societies of the college namely SACE, CSI, IEEE, SAE, CES & MESA. The students are working hard to cover all the aspects of the event. The creative team is on a roll, determined to make Saboo another Greece. The grand decorations are a treat for the eyes. The exotic phoenix painted on the ground really screams out the tagline of the fest – ‘Rising through the Ashes’. The models of fierce warriors and the lovely ladies don the college premises. The dancing flames are ready to be lit at night, and the music is all set to be played.
