The Synthetic and Art Silk Mills' Research Association (SASMIRA) was set up in 1950 as a multi-functional institute to serve the needs of the textile and clothing industry. It is situated at Worli, in the heart of Mumbai city with state-of-the-art equipments and computerized labs.
