Do note that there are number of entry schemes as per various functional areas of work viz., Law, Logistics, and so on wherein the educational qualification differs as per the cadre as well as area of work.  You can appear through the Non UPSC entries for Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC).

I am giving my HSC this year in the Commerce stream. I wish to become a journalist. Is it possible for me to pursue a degree in this field?

After completing class 12th you can either continue your Graduation in the same field or take up BA [English] or BMM [Journalism] post which you will have to opt for a post-graduate program in journalism/ mass communication and likewise. Ensure you take up writing and fine tune your language proficiency.

I am interested in animation, but I am not sure what sort of work I can take up? Can you tell me more about it?

There are wide job openings and one can work on full length animation movies or any other related field like television, advertising industry etc. Animators usually work as: Modellers. Story Board Artists, Character Animators, Layout Artists, Compositing Artists, Editors, Texture Artists and many more such work profiles. The job opening will depend on the organisation, projects on hand and your skill set.
