
Raj Thackeray launches drama
The first look of Ajit Bhure Productions Badam Rani Ghulam Chor was held at the MIG Club recently amid presence of Raj Thackeray with the cast and crew recently. The cast includes Anand Ingle, Mukta Barve, Vinay Apte, Upendra Limaye, Pushkar Shrotri, etc. Present on the occasion were Sachin Pilgaonkar, director Satish Rajwade and music director Dr. Salil Kulkarni along with media personality Sudhir Gadgil. The film is based on the play Makdachya Hatat Champagne and deals with three friends wooing the same girl.
First schedule of ‘Yogayog’ held
Vineta Creations Yogayog completed it’s first seven-day schedule at Mahabaleshwar. The film is directed by Bharatraj. The film stars Ankush Chowdhary, Siddharth Jadhav, Sia Patil, Deepak Shirke, Vikas Samudre and Anjali Ujawne in stellar roles.
Mahurat of Marathi movie held
The mahurat of Marathi film Ek Phool Char Kaate was held recently at the Kohinoor Hotel, Dadar recently.The film was launched in the august presence of veteran actor Asha Kale. The film stars Vijay Kadam,Vijay Chavan and new debutants Amrita Pure, Nayana Muke and Pratiksha Hake. The film is directed by Sudhakar Avghade and the film will go on floors in August and will release in Diwali.
Mahesh Manjrekar in ‘Kurukshetra’
Mahesh Manjrekar will star in Milind Lele’s Kurukshetra, the last leg of shooting was recently held in a Pune bungalow recently. The film stars Shweta Salve for the first time in a Marathi film along with Vaibhav Tattvavadi, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Shashank Shende, Jayant Savarkar, and Sharad Ponkshe in a stellar role. The film is about a honest government official’s fight against a powerful village politician.
Gurubhakti Festival at Sharada
Sharada Sangeet Vidyalaya will host a Gurubhakti festival of classical music in which gurus like vocalist Padma Talwalkar, flautist Anand Kashikar and tabla guru Arvind Mulgaonkar will be felicitated. Their pupils will perform. The festival opens on June 22 at 5.30 pm and will be on till June 24 at Sharada Sangeet Vidyalaya, Kalanagar, Bandra East, There is no admission fee and the festival is open to all music lovers. The first session will feature young and bright vocalist Saylee Talwalkar who is a pupil of Padma Talwalkar and Aarti Ankalikar. Saylee has won many awards for her classical performances.
Mahurat of ‘See You Again’ held
The mahurat of Amol Productions and veteran film producer and distributor Sachin Parekar new play See You Again was held at the Rangsharada Hall, Dadar. The play is written and directed by Nikhil Ratnaparkhi who has already made his mark as a comic actor in films, television and commercials. Nikhil says that the play is about a husband-wife relationship and how such relationships are going to take a turn in the future course of events. The cast of the play is about just two actors, namely Nikhil himself and Kadambari Kadam. This play will further progress the Renaissance period of Marathi theatre. The play will open in July.
