Fake take

Tuesday, February 06, 2018

Trust Narendra Kumar to do things differently and add a touch of humour. He got Irish linen manufacturer Burgoyne to present ‘The Fake Show’ at LFW. It was all very peppy and upbeat, ending with Rahul Khanna as showstopper, dressed in an all-white sporty couture linen ensemble. The show took a dig at the reality of the new world order, ‘fake news.’ Nari’s bold black and super white summer sports couture collection saw athleisure meeting hip hop. He mixed it up with fabrics like knitwear and neoprene to create a collection that was fresh, real and easy to wear yet still bore his trademark of smart tailoring. On view were T-shirts, bomber jackets, cropped pants which combined with customized knit ribs giving the line an edgy, urban street style feel.
