Heartfelt do

Thursday, November 03, 2016

Shaking a leg with cancer survivors was film director Farah Khan. It was an evening at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre that saluted breast cancer survivors. Health Minister Dr. Deepak Sawant was there, encouraging the survivors by sharing insights that breast cancer is curable. Others present to lend their support and speak of their experiences were Rochelle Potkar, author of the bestseller ‘The Arithmetic of breasts and other stories,’ breast cancer survivor Neelam Kumar, social activist Phiroza Abraham, VJ and host Sarah-Jane Dias, noted lawyer Abha Singh and Dr Advani, one of India’s best oncologists. It was heartening to hear that Jaslok strives to live up to the singular goal of ‘experiential healthcare’ wishing its patients to always think of life after cure and attribute the disease to having an experience. The promise is to ‘Live life to the fullest’ and ‘Disease is Temporary, Cure is Permanent’ in this Pink Note initiative.

Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20)You have been trying to avoid certain issues but they crop up again and again. It is better to get to the root of the problem and sort it out even if it means a change in your approach and style of working. You will be expected to work harder and that too with no incentives in sight. Things are not as bad as they look for there are hidden gains.
