Guests were on a happy high as The Happy High, a beverage experiences and consulting firm, organized an Indian wine and Franco-Italian food afternoon at Rivea in association with Taj Santacruz and Grover Zampa Vineyards. It was a wonderful four-course meal curated by chef Amaresh Nandan with wine paired by Ajit Balgi. The Vijay Amritraj Viognier went very well with the soup and focaccia. The artisanal burrata and heirloom tomato salad, grilled prawns with avacado and warm salsa, red snapper with Shetland mussel sauce and roast leg of chicken were complemented by Grover Art Series Sauvignon Blanc and Zampa Soiree Brut. The dessert, mascarpone, chocolate and bitter chocolate pizza, was paired with Chene, India’s most premium wine blend of Tempranillo and Shiraz. And it’s nice to note that The Happy High’s aim is to raise the bar of hotels and restaurants with respect to wines and spirits while engaging the consumer.
