Positive vibes

Saturday, January 13, 2018

Magical mysticism, riveting riverbanks, humungous humanity – all this were witnessed at the preview of Paramesh Paul’s ‘City of Light’ art exhibition at Nehru Centre art gallery. Doing the inaugural honours were Mahima Chaudhary and Gracy Singh. Guests gleaned that to Paramesh Paul, painting is a spiritual practice, an act of conscious, creative alignment with the supreme. As one delves deeper into the paintings, one experiences a harmonious rhythm of life imbued with the feeling of transcendence, balance and oneness with the whole of creation. The positivity in the paintings got to the guests as they were transported to the land of the Ganges. Viewing it all were the likes of Padmanabh Bendre, Gautam Patole, Vishwa Sahni, Gautam Mukherjee, Amisha Mehta, Varsha Vyas, Rakhi Baid, Ananya Banerji, Madhumita Bhattacharya, Daxa Khandwala, Raaamji Sharma, Sonu Gupta, Sanjukta Barik and Aneel Murarka among others.
