Rise and shine yoga

Start your morning the right way! Rise & Shine Yoga moves through pranayama, meditation and asana practice. Each class is designed to focus on a particular body part (hips, chest, etc) or types of asana (twist, balance, etc.) and flows through interconnected postures while maintaining awareness of, and connection with the breath.

Through your practice, you can expect to build strength, flexibility, and concentration, while cleansing the body and calming the mind. The class is open to all levels of practitioners.

Note: Participants would need to bring their own yoga mat and towel.

Community program

SL Raheja Hospital, A Fortis associate, recently conducted a Community Ambassador Program. Health benefit cards were distributed to heads of the Association of Hotel Restaurants (AHAR), Jain International Organisation (JIO), Rajasthani Jain Samaj (Dharavi), the Marathi film industry, Jain Social Group, Bunt Sangh, Gujarati Samaj, and Catholic Society of India, among others.

Nutritionist Radhika Toshniwal  launched her book Positive Eating, A Guide To Everyday Health & Nutrition with Easy-to-Cook Recipes.

Speaking on the occasion, Radhika said, “Our lifestyles are such that more often than not we have to make do with quick meals which can be prepared and consumed within 10-20 minutes. Since junk food is the easiest and commonly available option, despite knowing its harmful effects it is eaten freely... This book includes information about trendy vegetables and immunity boosters as well as highlights millennial concerns about health and grub.”
