LONDON: Australian pop star Kylie Minogue says she initially ‘felt guilty’ about being more successful than her sister Dannii Minogue, who is also a singer.
Dannii had moderate success before Kylie eclipsed her with her debut album Kylie in 1988, which spawned number one single I Should Be So Lucky.
The 42-year-old then went on to have 13 successive UK top ten singles, but now says her dominance of the charts made her feel bad for her sister, X Factor's new magazine reported.
"I would feel quite guilty sometimes although there was no reason to feel that. And I know the last thing she would ever want me to feel is bad."
Dannii's career as a singer was relatively successful in the early 1990s, with hits such as Love and Kisses and This is It, but she failed to reach the popularity level of her older sister.
However, the 38-year-old has gone on to have a successful career in television, particularly as a judge on singing contest The X Factor, and Kylie said of her sister, "I always knew her time would come. I'm stoked for her."
As well has a television personality and model, Dannii is a fashion designer and recently launched her own range of clothing, entitled, 'Project D'.
