In the light of the escalting tensions in the Gulf region, the ‘secular’ press in India seems to be going overboard in painting Iran as the ‘victim’ and Israel as the ‘culprit’. They have totally forgotten the daily barrage of rockets launched by the Iranian cronies like Hamas and Hizbullah on the innocent Israeli civilians. Also, was not the President of the theocratic nation one of the masterminds of the siege of American embassy in 1979 at the height of the Islamic revolution?. Further, did not Iran shelter the entire Pakistani Air Force on its soil to prevent any strike by the IAF during the 1971 Indo-Pak war?
