She won the coveted trophy in style and the way she jumped and celebrated the victory showed how eager she was to make it big. After the first round ouster of Venus, tennis lovers were having speculation about Serena even making it to the last round. Serena won the 5th Wimbledon singles title by beating second seed Agnieszka Radwanska in a three-set thriller. The American star made a forceful comeback and came out trumps recovering from a life threatening disease and kept the carping critics quite. She came, saw and conquered the Wimbledon Centre Court with her consistent serve, clean volleys and deft placements to outdo a younger opponent. She was confidence personified and made her dream come true after being hospitalised last year with pulmonary embolism. It is a great tribute to her concentration and confidence and her will to pull up and show big match temperament.
