Sterilise stray dogs

Friday, May 18, 2018

A steady increase in cases of dog bites has been observed in Mumbai and has caused great fear among parents,  who have urged the authorities to sterilize the stray dogs. Children are the main victims of this menace. They are more prone to such attacks because they try to run after seeing these dogs.  It is impossible to stop nuisance without putting an end to the ever-growing population of stray dogs. Rabies is one of the deadliest diseases in India.  India is at number one in the rate of human rabies. Rabies is transmitted to humans through dog bites is a serious one and may result in death of the person bitten by dog. Once a person is infected by rabies, there is no remedy to save the person. Rabies  vaccine is effective only if its administered within a few hours of the dog bite.
