It is great pleasure to learn that the Panvel Municipal council has decided to improve the city’s civic condition, which has benn neglected for a long time.
PMC has taken numerous steps for the development of the city. They have plans like road concretizations, water tanks, cleaning and maintenance of lakes.
Panvel Municipal council came into existence nearly a century and half ago, much before Bombay Municipal Corporation came into being. History reveals that in 1779, Panvel become a strategic location of having the first road route connecting Pune with Panvel.
In spite of having the oldest Municipal council, the failure of development work is glaring. We hope that the newly elected body will look in to these issues.
