AI to operate all-women crew flights on Mar 8
Air India will operate flights with all-women crew to New York, Frankfurt, Singapore and various other destinations to commemorate International Women's Day on   March 8. The national carrier today said it has planned several flights, domestic and international, operated only by its women employees."Air India will fly these all-women crew flights to all the USA cities it operates to -- San Francisco, New York, Newark, Chicago and Washington DC -- besides destinations like Milan, Frankfurt and Singapore. A few destinations in the domestic sector will also see the airline operating with an all-women crew," it said in a release.

Delhi event to mark Dalai Lama’s 60th year in exile cancelled
The Tibetan government-in-exile has cancelled an event in Rajghat here and shifted another to Dharamsala that were planned to commemorate Dalai Lama's 60th year in exile in India, a Tibetan official said today. Sonam Dagpo, Spokesperson of the 'Central Tibetan Administration', said this in the backdrop of a media report about  an Indian government directive to senior functionaries at the centre and in states to skip events being organised by the Tibetans.

Delhi Assembly Secretariat stops salaries of 20 disqualified AAP MLAs: Speaker
Salaries of 20 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs who were disqualified for allegedly holding office of profit have been stopped, Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said today.All others facilities, which were being provided to these 20 MLAs, have also been stopped. "The salaries of 20 MLAs, who had been disqualified by the Election Commission, have been stopped. Their salaries for the month of February have not been released," Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel told PTI.

Qatar Airways yet to apply for setting up airline in India
Qatar Airways has not submitted application for setting up an airline in India, according to the civil aviation ministry. The leading Gulf carrier has announced plans to launch an airline in the country. To a query on whether Qatar Airways has submitted application for setting up an airline, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha replied in the negative. "The government takes decision on the setting up of airlines subject to applicable laws/ regulations, security and other conditionalities related to air transport operation and FDI policy," he said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha today.
