Mumbai's gone to sleep!

Mumbai's gone to sleep!
From their busy schedule, Mumbaikars always find a way to take an afternoon nap which canbe anywhere. Mumbai is a place where people can afford to put their lives on hold for some hours – at a beach, shack, bus stop, under the shutters of a closed shop. Contrary to the popular urban, middle-class belief that people living on the streets are thieves, beggars, drug addicts and miscreants, the homeless are deeply tied to the informal economy of Mumbai. It is their contribution in the form of cheap labour that makes the city. The Afternoon Despatch & Courier photographers Trupti Arekar and Santosh Gupta features how Mumbaikars get their siesta!
