should have strategic location
Arvind Jhaveri
My idea of an ideal home is one that it’s strategically located close to reputed schools, good hospitals, shopping centres, temples and bus-stops. Basically, the place must offer all the amenities that would come in handy for my eight-year-old grandson as well as my son, daughter-in-law and my wife.
railway station within easy reach
Mrudula Mistry
First things first, the railway station must be at a walkable distance from the place. Considering the ordeal that travelling has become today for most residents, I don’t want my family to suffer, at least on that count! Besides access to educational facilities, I would love to have a shopping mall nearby – though not right outside my home.
would like a peaceful, quiet area
Nandita Sanil
I love the idea of living in a spacious, peaceful area. Basically, a place that makes one feel at home; I must want to come back to that place at the end of a long, tiring day at work! And then, it's important to have all the essential facilities such as markets, schools, hospitals and the like close at hand so that day-to-day living becomes as convenient as possible.
A jain temple in the vicinity a must
Pramoda Jhaveri
When I think of an ideal home, the first thing that comes to my mind is the notion of a Jain temple in the neighbourhood, adding an element of divine freshness to the environs. And then, like most residents my age, I would prefer to live in a peaceful suburban area with a rich tree-cover.
should be located on top of a hill
Ashwini Patil
My ideal home should be on top of a hill, preferably at a place like Ekvira which provides me the best view, great breeze and wonderful exercise day in and out climbing to and fro my home. It won’t be necessary to go on a walk too or join a gym to stay fit
