NSCI score easy win against Malabar Hill Club

Thursday, June 14, 2018

Mumbai: Riding on a belligerent knock of 88 runs by Paras Zaveri, the National Sports Club of India had an easy outing against Malabar Hill Club during the Gannon Dunkeley Cricket League match played at the PJ Hindu Gymkhana recently.

Malabar Hill Club won the toss and put NSCI in to bat, while they would consider this as a good decision as the top four batters of NSCI didn't contribute too much to the tally, it was the day of Paras Zaveri who anchored the innings with his 88 runs off 59 deliveries which included 10 fours and a couple of sixes.

Apart for him, Karan Chugh (29 runs) and Manish Agarwal (27 runs) contributed in the middle order to enable NSCI to post a respectable score of 189 for six in 20 overs.

In reply, Malabar Hill Club faltered from the very beginning despite their openers getting off to starts. However, with them back in the pavilion, the Hill Club lost wickets at regular intervals concluding their innings for 117 runs, thereby giving NSCI a comfortable 72-run win.

For NSCI, Puneet Dave scalpped three while Kamran Ahmed and Gautam Sahani bagged a brace.
