
In a keen grand finale contest, Nachiket Lele from Kalyan (near Mumbai), won the first prize at Zee Marathi's prestigious singing contest “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Ghe Panga Kar Danga”, held on January 7 at Film City in Goregaon in Mumbai.
Ujjwal Gajbal from Yawatmal and Akshay Ghanekar from Pune came as the first and second runner-up respectively. The first prize winner received a prize of Rs 5 lakhs and an opportunity to sing a title song for Zee Marathi’ show. The first and second runner ups were given Rs 3 lakhs each. Out of 32 contestants, 12 contestants made it to final.
The participants presented the best of the songs in their mellifluous voice while judges Bela Shende, Swanand Kirkire, Ravi Jadhav and the host Rohit Raut evaluated their performances while actor and presenter Annu Kapoor guided the participants. The event witnessed the presence of Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor, who had come for promotion of their forthcoming film. Akshay in his inimitable style sang Dada Kondke’s hit Marathi number “Dhhagaala Laagli Kalla” and added “extra zing” to the show.
