After the arrest of underworld don Chhota Rajan, Mumbai Police have now tightened the security of Tilak Nagar area to keep the situation under control.
Many policemen in civil clothes are patrolling the area to avoid any problems. “Police have formed a team to secure Nikalje family, each police person is keeping an eye on them. One police member will soon start interrogation of Nikalaje family,” said police sources.
The police is keeping close eye on relatives and members of Nikalje family. In total, there are 18 members in Nikalje's family. “We are happy, we would be able to see him and meet him. We haven’t seen or spoken to him for a very long time,” said a close member of the family.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Atul Kulkarni said, “Preventive measures are taken by police for any kind of trouble or situation, which may cause problems to people.”
As per Indian Intelligent agencies, they intercepted a call between Dawood Ibrahim's key aide Chhota Shakeel in Karachi and a gang member of Chhota Rajan in April this year. During the phone call, Shakeel’s motive was to track the address from Rajan gang member to share the address of his rival by offering him bribe.
After receiving whereabouts of Rajan's address in Australia, Shakeel sent his best shooters to Australia for the specific mission to kill Chhota Rajan at a location in Newcastle. But somehow Nana received a tip-off of the plan and he cleverly managed to escape just before D-gang shooters could locate him.
