The charming ‘ageless’ actress Madhoo (known for her memorable performances in landmark retro-movies like ‘Roja’ and ‘Phool Aur Kaante’) is back with the launch of her latest Bollywood movie.
Enthuses Madhoo, “It’s a horror-comedy movie titled ‘Khalli Balli’ being directed by the super-talented Manoj Sharma. For heaven’s sake I am not playing the ghost. My normal yet intriguing screen-character is neither wacko nor scary but has an intellectual tinge to it. My comfort zone is also that my co-star in this movie is star-actor Rajneish Duggal, who was also with me in the cast of the popular TV show ‘Aarambh’,“ shares Madhoo who is also peeved that vested interests are spreading wrong rumours about her.
“Neither am I settled abroad or based myself in the South. The fact is that recently I have done three Southside regional movies including this Tamil super-hit movie ‘Agni vs, Devi’ where I played a villainish role of a dreaded politician and won lots of appreciation for my negative shades performance Now I am looking forward to getting more roles in web-series and Bollywood movies. Acting was and will always remain my passion,” insists Madhoo who has veteran Asrani, oomph-girl Kainaat Arora and Rohan Mehra as her co-stars in ‘Khalli Balli’.
Director Manoj Sharma reveals that their movie ‘Khalli Balli’ is in the genre of the recent scare-fare comedy runaway hit ‘Stree’. Incidentally, three movies (including ‘Khalli Balli’) were launched simultaneously on Wednesday evening by ‘showman’ producer Kamal Kishor Mishra. While Manoj Pahwa, Brijendra Kala and others form the cast of crazy comedy ‘Flat No- 420’, the third movie titled ‘Bhootiyapa’ has Mithun-da Chakraborty and ace comedians Krushna Abhishek, Sugandha Mishra, Rajiv Thakur playing their real-life roles in a super-natural comedy.
