BJP secretary lodges FIR after being ignored by top brass, spends sleepless nights listening to audio

The controversy over BJP MLA Ram Kadam for his “will kidnap the girl” remark has not ended yet, but another BJP leader has got into trouble for using foul language against a woman, but this time none other than secretary of Mumbai, Divya Dholay has lodged the FIR against the Dharavi Assembly Constituency president Mani Balan.
Interestingly, the victim Dholay has lodged the FIR against Balan at the Dharavi police station for intending to insult her and using defamatory words against her.
According to police sources, the FIR was registered on the basis of a audio clip in which BJP leader Mani Balan is heard using the foul language on the phone when engaged in a conversation with another local BJP party worker Asgar Sheikh. In the two minute audio clip, Mani abused and allegedly used foul language against Dholay. The Dharavi police has registered the statement of Asgar Sheikh as well and on that basis the FIR was registered.
Mani Balan said, “'It is a politically motivated issue, the audio clip is very old when it was brought to her notice, party worker Asgar was the informer of Congress and many times I warned him, as far as Vidya Dholay is concerned she is residing in Versova and did not have any direct and indirect connection with Dharavi, in 2014 assembly election we helped her in the election campaign but she lost, after 2014 suddenly she came back in 2017 to gain a ticket again, we are local residents of Dharavi and accordingly we informed top party leaders that if they wanted to give her a ticket they should taken local party workers into confidence.”
While BJP-Secretary Divya Dholay said, “After listing to the audio clip I spent sleepless nights, it was very shocking for me, I work for party but person like Mani uses such language it's very hard to believe.
“It was a party decision in 2014 over which I fought the election, I accepted the challenge and I came third from this constituency, I have my NGO office in Dharavi, I do lot of work from there only, I have personal attachment with Dharavi, after losing election I came back to work but again in 2017 I started Jan Sankalp Abhiyan in Dharavi, I am having many well wishers in Dharavi for whom I am working, there are a lot of projects in Dharavi for which I worked, I informed the top bosses of the party about Mani's audio clip but did not get any reply, fed up with this I decided to lodge the FIR due to which I approached the police, this matter is related to women in its entirety not a single woman.”
While sources from the Dharavi police revealed that, on the basis of audio clip and statement of Asgar Sheikh the FIR has been registered under section 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 500 (Punishment for defamation). “No arrests have been made so far we are doing the investigations into the case.”
Last month during the Dahi Handi festival, BJP MLA from Ghatkopar Ram Kadam fell into trouble by saying that if a girl rejected a boy's proposal, he would 100 per cent help him abduct the girl, if his parents agreed to the marriage.
