The soon to be released video missing since the past month was allegedly stolen by two office boys from their employer-producer Rajan Varma
The Versova police registered an FIR against two 18-year-old office boys after a complaint was filed by a small time director-producer against them for allegedly robbing his video album's hard disk from his office.
After the FIR, the Versova police has rounded up both the youth and later released them, with just a warning as police needed time to investigate the matter.
Making a serious allegation against both his former employees Deepak and Sujeet, director-producer Viraj Kumar alias Rajan Varma said both had robbed his three TB hard disc and one pen drive, whose total value amounted to Rs 42,000.
According to Varma, in March 2014, he had employed Sujeet as an office boy in his Lokhandwala office. Sujeet was associated with him till March 2016, and later quit the job and went to his native place. In his place Varma employed another boy Deepak. In February 2016, complainant Varma had shot a video album ''Dancing Doll'' and three hard discs and one pen drive was given to Sujeet to be kept in the office, as per Varma's order. However, on April 18 when Varma began searching for the album's hard disc in his office he did not find it.
Later, when Varma did not find his album's hard disc, he rang up Sujeet's mobile number but his number was switched off. Following which Varma inquired with the other office boy Deepak who had replaced Sujeet after he left the job, he also gave a similar answer to Varma. Fed up with their response Varma lodged an FIR at the Versova police station.
Varma further stated that, he last spoke to Sujeet in the first week of April. Sujeet himself rang up Varma and asked for his pending dues. Following which Varma asked him to come and collect his dues. Police Sub Inspector (PSI) Atul Sanap, said, “We have lodged an FIR against Sujeet and Deepak under section 381, we had called both the youths to the police station for inquiry but they denied stealing any discs. Also, we are investigating the matter further and will examine if they have really robbed discs or if they are just being falsely implicated in the case.”
