The Peat Palate was what they called this interesting and intoxicating experience at Artisan at Sofitel Mumbai BKC. It was time for conversation, cheer and cuisine with whisky expert and spirits ambassador Sandeep Arora conducting the proceedings of appreciation of the finest peated single malt and blended Scotch whiskies. The delightful drinks included Ardmore Legacy, 12-year-old Teacher’s Golden Thistle and 12-year-old Bowmore. And the fabulous food at the sit-down dinner, in non-veg, included prawn and squid fritto misto; smoked chicken sausage kweteaow noodle, sambal; Changezi lamb shanks, Bibi ka pilaf, Gandana greens, candied mango. Of course, there was a vegetarian option, too. And a dessert named A Trail of Apple comprising Granny Smith Bambolini, fermented apple foam, crunchy praline gelato, Cacao gold whipped ganache. And for added cheer there were Scotch whisky cocktails with a twist named New Fashioned, Whisky Sour, Ginger Scot, Mint Julep, Apple Cinn and Tropical Tikki.
