Various corporates, institutions and product manufacturers will now be able to reach their target audiences as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has decided to make two more avenues – Mono Rail piers and station areas – available for advertisements. The Authority has invited separate proposals from agencies for securing, maintaining and leasing of bulk commercial advertisement rights to display advertisements on Mono Rail piers and for securing advertisements at all the seven stations on the 8.80-km long Chembur-Wadala corridor.
“Besides the piers, platform space, the concourse area, railings, staircases and other exterior surfaces of stations will also be made available for advertisements by way of digital display, glow-signs, vinyl wrapping etc.”, said Ashwini Bhide, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA.
“The appointed agency is expected to fix, maintain secure advertisements for the station areas and maintain Mono Rail piers by removing all unwanted posters, stickers, drawings, graffiti etc. and also lease advertisement rights of these piers for commercial advertisements”, said Dilip Kawathkar, Joint Project Director (PR), MMRDA. The Authority will receive sealed proposals for station area till September 20, 2013 and for piers till October 4, 2013 up to 1 pm in the office of the Chief, Transport and Communications Division, MMRDA.
